This is a very pretty and unusual bowl and could have been used either on the table for candies, sauce, sugar, etc. or as a dressing table accessory. It has a foliate foot, accentuated by berries on each corner and a bud shaped finial with crossed over arms, each with a detail of berries (see photo of detail).
