Rare Georg Jensen Cross with Silver & Lapis Lazuli Manuf. 1915 - 1930 Condition: Excellent Size: Each one 2“ (5.2 cm) x 1 3/4” (4.5 cm) Ref: MK677/113 Georg Jensen took his inspiration from the natural world – he was also influenced by other artists of his time. He travelled extensively to all parts of Europe , including England , & America attending exhibitions to sell his work. He will have known and conversed with the other great names of the Arts & Crafts era, such as Archibald Knox of the Isle of Man. This cross clearly shows a Celtic influence which also moulded the art of Archibald Knox. Georg Jensen made this item with other gemstones. This cross is a rare and unusual piece of Georg Jensen design. |
