This Crucifix was made in the early days of Georg Jensen first workshop, which he set up in 1904 in Copenhagen. He had only one apprentice to help him at this time, so it is quite likely this item was actually handled by Georg Jensen himself. The Cross has a very strong Celtic influence and shows that Georg Jensen was very much aware of other designers of his time, such as Archibald Knox.
