Note: This is an absolutely stunning & rare triple enamel & silver gilt pendant/brooch designed by Aksel Holmsen of Sandefjord, Norway (Workshop began in 1932 up to 1969) Aksel Holmsen was one of the group of gifted Norwegian designers, which also included David Andersen & Marius Hammer, who excelled in enamelling work and gave Norway its present reputation for excelling in the production of enamelled jewellery. Aksel also produced cutlery, i.e. spoons, and many items of jewellery such as butterfly brooches & buckles.
